You can make errands a fun experience with your child. When you go to the post office, ask to see if you can show your child how they sort mail, or at the store show them what goes on there. It will become more fun, and an enjoyable experience for your child.

  1. I think errands are a great learning/fun time for kids. Lee adores going to the bank (suckers!) and pushing his own little cart at the store.

A random thing my mom used to do when we were kids was clip coupons. At the store she would give us a coupon with a picture on it, and we could go find the item (we were probably 5 or older when we could do it ourselves). She would save a little money and entertain her kids all at the same time; and we learned about budgeting, finding good foods to eat, and being helpers to boot!
